Properties: 8/3 Moles water per mole cadmium sulfate, odorless, monoclinic crystals. On heating loses water above 40°, forming monohydrate by 80°. Does not become anhydrous on further heating. d 3.08. Freely sol in water. Almost insol in ethanol, acetone, ammonia, ethyl acetate.
