Properties: Light-sensitive, golden yellow, strongly refractive, liquid. Odor of rotten radishes. Turns brown to black on storage. d420 2.6824; d425 2.6626. mp -45.5°. bp 125-126°; bp8.0 10.0°. nD20 1.845. Heat of formation: 34 kcal/mol. Miscible with carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide, toluene, other organic solvents. Practically insol in water. Dec by alc, pyridine.
