Properties: White or slightly yellow, deliquesc, cryst powder; odor of nitric acid. Poisonous! d 4.3. Sol in a small amount of water; with much water or on boiling with water, an insol basic salt is formed; sol in dil acids. Keep well closed and protect from light.
 
Use: Manufacture of felt; mercury fulminate; destroying phylloxera.
