Properties: Slender needles from ethanol; microcryst powder from acetone. mp 218.5-221.5°. [a]D20 -4 ±2° (CHCl3), +5 ±2° (c = 0.01, abs ethanol). Very sol in chloroform, methanol, ethanol, pyridine; slightly sol in warm acetone. Practically insol in ethyl acetate, benzene, petr ether, ether, water.
Melting point: mp 218.5-221.5°
Optical Rotation: [a]D20 -4 ±2° (CHCl3), +5 ±2° (c = 0.01, abs ethanol)
