The title pyrimidine derivative was synthesized by silylation of 5-(trifluoromethyl)uracil (I) with hexamethyldisilazane, followed by condensation with 5,6-diacetyl-2,3-dibenzyl-L-ascorbic acid (II) in the presence of trimethylsilyl triflate.
