The title compound is prepared by condensation between 4-chloro-6-methoxy-3-methyl-1H-pyrazolo-[3.4-b]quinoline (I) and an excess of 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethanol (II) in the presence of sodium hydride at 110 C.
