Properties: Bright greenish yellow. Orange in conc H2SO4. Sol in water, slightly sol in ethanol. Practically insol in vegetable oils. LD50 in rats (g/kg): >2 orally (Lu, Lavalle).

Use: Textile dye for wool, nylon, silk. Paper dye. Barium salt in printing inks. Color for food, drugs, cosmetics.
