Literature References: Substance prepd from fresh or frozen mammalian pancreas, usually from swine, that contains various enzymes having proteolytic, lipolytic and amylolytic activities. Pharmacopeial specifications differ on the quantity of amylase, lipase and protease required; most commercial formulations are of higher digestive power.
