Properties: Crystals, slight odor resembling that of salol, mp 62-64°. Maximum light absorption at 290-330 nm. Soly (w/w): in water <0.1%; abs ethanol 79%; ethyl acetate 153%; methyl ethyl ketone 197%; toluene 158%; Stoddard solvent 39%.
Melting point: mp 62-64°
Use: Light absorber in plastic food wrappings.
