Assay—
Accurately weigh a glass-stoppered weighing bottle containing 25 mL of water. Add 1 g of Monoethanolamine, and weigh. Transfer to a suitable flask, add a mixed indicator of 5 parts bromocresol green TS and 6 parts methyl red TS for a total of approximately 11 parts of solution, mix, and titrate with 0.5 N hydrochloric acid VS. Each mL of 0.5 N hydrochloric acid is equivalent to 30.54 mg of C2H7NO.
