» Aromatic Castor Oil is Castor Oil containing suitable flavoring agents. It contains not less than 95.0 percent of castor oil.

Packaging and storage— Preserve in tight containers.

Assay— Proceed as directed in the Assay under Castor Oil Emulsion, using about 100 mg of Aromatic Castor Oil, accurately weighed. Calculate the quantity, in mg, of castor oil in the portion of Aromatic Castor Oil taken by the formula:

qr(RA / RS)

in which qr is the weight, in mg, of castor oil taken for the standard; and RA and RS are the ratios of the peak responses due to castor oil and internal standard obtained from the Aromatic Castor Oil and the standard, respectively.
