Chloroform, Ethanol-free

Chloroform, Ethanol-free Shake 200 mL of chloroform with four quantities, each of 100 mL, of water. Dry over 20 g of anhydrous sodium sulfate for 24 hours. Distil the filtrate over 10 g of anhydrous sodium sulfate. Discard the first 20 mLof distillate. Prepare immediately before use.
