Of the British Pharmacopoeia.

Dimethyl sulfoxide used in spectrophotometry complies with the following additional test.

Minimum transmittance (2.2.25) Using water as compensation liquid : 10% at 262 nm, 35% at 270 nm, 70% at 290 nm, 98% at 340 nm and at higher wavelengths.
