Pyrogallol Solution, Alkaline

Pyrogallol Solution, Alkaline Dissolve 0.5 g of pyrogallol in 2 mL of carbon dioxide-free water; dissolve 12 g of potassium hydroxide in 8 mL of carbon dioxide-free water. Mix the two solutions immediately before use.
