Fuchsin Solution R1, Decolorised

Fuchsin Solution R1, Decolorised To 1 g of basic fuchsin add 100 mL of water, heat to 50° and allow to cool, shaking occasionally. Allow to stand for 48 hours, shake and filter. To 4 mL of the filtrate add 6 mL of hydrochloric acid, mix and dilute to 100 mL with water. Allow to stand for at least 1 hour to ensure maximum fading.
