Properties: Odorless, colorless gas. Not very reactive. Stable to 400°. mp -135.82°. bp -55.38°. Vapor pressure (20°): 15.2 atm. Vapor density (20°): 4.3 g/l. Specific gravity (20°): 1.35. Soly at 16.5° (ml gaseous F2SO2/100 ml solvent): 4-5 (water); 24-27 (alcohol); 210-220 (toluene); 136-138 (CCl4). Not hydrolyzed by water. Hydrolyzed by NaOH solns. May be stored in compressed form in steel cylinders or in a gasometer over H2SO4.
