Properties: Crystals from water, mp 119-120°. bp ~225° (dec). Sol in 10 parts water, 10 parts abs alc; very slightly sol in ether. Two isomorphous crystalline modifications: a-form, "stable form", obtained by sublimation and by crystallization from nonpolar solvents; b-form, "unstable form", obtained by quenching the melt or by crystallization from polar solvents, see Katayama, Acta Crystallogr. 9, 986 (1956); 10, 468 (1957); B.
